Granite stairs are durable due to their solid, rough texture that can withstand heavy foot traffic. However, like any other item of natural stone, they must be maintained through regular stone washing and weekly dusting to minimize scratches and keep their beauty.

Granite stairs must be well sealed with suitable products like Hidro SST, Hidro protector mm, Protex, Pro TW Lux  before installation as sealing protects stone from absorbing spills and moisture, prolonging its beauty.

Sweep the stairs with a dry dust mop to keep the stairs clear of dirt and debris that can scratch the surface. Use products created for stone care like Neugel, Algafloor. Do not use other kind of product because repeated use has a tendency to dull the stone surface.

Protect the stairs from scratching by placing a carpet on the foot of stairs. Weekly shake the carpet out to remove dirt and dust and wash it.
