Introduction about Natural stone

The diversity and non-duplication of natural stone create the unique beauty of natural stone. Therefore, natural stone has its own natural beauty, not found in man-made products. Two of the most popular natural stones used in construction are Marble and Granite. Some other popular natural stones are Travertine, Limestone and Sandstone.

Granite: With high hardness, good resistance to weather, diversity in color, Granite is widely used and suitable to most of all stonework items, especially the building that requires a high duration, high impact or friction. As Granite is composed relatively uniform, its color is more stable than Marble. Depending on the type of Granite and crystal size, the surface might include leaks, small holes. Granite is less subject to external effects, except for high temperatures, acid or soaked in water for long time.

Marble: The main component of marble is calcite (CaCO3), which easily reacts with acid to blur the glossy surface, Marble should be in rough, honed or bush hammered surface for outdoor use. Marble is widely used and is suitable for flooring, wall. With irregular natural texture and no repetitive color structure, Marble ensures the aesthetic and creates charming style for each project.

Travertine: It is formed through the accumulation of calcite from hot springs. Travertine often has a fibrous or concentric appearance and exists in white, tan, and cream-colored varieties. It contains lots of very small holes which are often filled with synthetic resins or cements. Therefore, it needs more care and maintenance..

Sandstone:  Most sandstone is composed of quartz and/or feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the Earth's crust. Like sand, sandstone may be any color, but the most common colors are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray, pink, white and black. Due to the hardness of the individual grains and uniformity of particle size, as well as the nature of the friable sandstone, sandstone is very porous.

Limestone: Mainly consists of calcite and some magnesium, Limestone does not show much graining or crystalline structure. Common colors are black, gray, yellow or brown. Some types of Limestone which are resistant to weather can be applied for outside wall of the building
